Rugby GALA Day (IS ON)

Dear parents and players,

Despite the 40mm of rain we have had over the last 24hrs the council has confirmed that we can go ahead with the GALA day tomorrow.

All players will need to be at Castle Cove School by 8:00am sharp for departure.

Jerseys will be provided tomorrow morning.

Could any student with asthma or other conditions that I should be aware of with regards to physical activity please see me before departure.

At this stage the GALA day will be going ahead unless the grounds are closed. We're keeping a close eye on the council website and should know by 1:00pm today (15.9.10) if we have to postpone the event.

Rugby Training Cancelled (15.9.10)

Dear Rugby players,

Training for Wednesday 15th September has been cancelled due to the wet weather.

A reminder that the bus leaves at 8:00am on Thursday morning.

Netball Training 27th August

Netball training is cancelled tomorrow morning as the stage 3 students are on camp. Green team will be playing in the afternoon if we have enough players.

Friday AFL morning training cancelled (Week 6)

Dear AFL players,

AFL training on Friday morning has been cancelled this week ( 27.8.10 / week 6). Mr Moses will be away at the stage 3 camp.

However, games will be played during the day so come prepared to play with full uniform and equipment. Good luck and have fun!

PSSA Friday 20th August

Just a reminder to all netball, AFL and Soccer players that there will be no training or games tomorrow 20/8/10 as the Zone Field Carnival is being held.

Athletics Carnival Postponed (3rd August)

Dear parents and students,

Unfortunately the Athletics Carnival has been postponed until next Monday 9th August (week 4) owing to wet weather. Today will be a regular day of learning for all students.

The same details and arrangements apply for next Monday.

Week 5 PSSA / Zone Atheltics Carnival

Dear all AFL players,

Training and games will resume this week ( 23.7.10). A reminder that training begins at 8:10.

Please ensure that you have all the required equipment including a hat.

No PSSA training for week 11 (2.6.10)

Dear parents and students,

We have had a fantastic term of PSSA sport and all students have worked very hard and demonstrated the kind of sportmanship that CCPS is know for.

To show our appreciation for your hardwork this term we've decided to give all PSSA students a rest this week. Training will resume first week back Term 3. Over the holiday period we encourage all students to continue their weekly fitness routines whether it be a walk, jog or kick/ throw of a ball.

Teams will remain the same and the season will continue until late term 3. There no extra charge or permission required for term 3 as it was included in the initial cost.

Thank you to all students, parents and coaches for making this term our most successful ever!

AFL and Soccer training (June 18th)

Dear students and parents,

At this stage AFL and soccer training is on tomorrow (18th June) unless we have rain tonight. Please check this blog if in doubt.

Reminders for tomorrow:

- Students must bring their school hats to PSSA (to be worn when not playing)

- No lunch orders on Friday for PSSA students (We leave at 12:15pm for our games)

- Soccer and AFL students are encouraged to bring a change of shoes if they are wearing studs/blades (this helps us keep our school carpets clean and free from damage).

As the weather has improved, netball training will be on tomorrow (Friday 11th June) for green and blue teams only. Please arrive at school at 8:10am . Please do not come earlier as there will be no supervision available. Hopefully the weather will stay clear and we can play some games.

Zone Cross Country Thrusday 10th

The Zone Cross Country is being held on Thursday 10th June. The same arrangements apply.

If the rain clears over night we may still play our PSSA matches during the day so come prepared to play! (wear your PSSA uniform, and bring you gear)

Netball Training

Hi Girls,

Congratulations again for playing so well last week!

Training is at school this week (Friday 14th May), NOT Holly Street. We are starting at 8:10am. See you in the morning!

Netball News

Our next netball training is this Friday, 7th May. We will start training at 8:10am at school, rather than Holly Street. In the event of rain, still come to training as we can use the school hall. Please bring your netball uniform to training rather than wear it. Some girls have the incorrect size and we need to do some swapping around.

Our first games are on Friday and I am very excited about the start of the season and hope you are feeling excited too. The buses will be leaving school at around 12:30 so please meet me under the cola at 12:15.

PSSA Term 2

Welcome to the sports blog for 2010!

Our PSSA season will begin next Friday 7th May.

Students and Parents please ensure that permission slips and money have been returned by next Friday. Also, use this weekend to ensure that you have all the appropriate playing gear for the 13 rounds of PSSA.

Training for netball and soccer have begun this week at Holly Street Oval.

AFL students will have a development day next Friday. This will provide students (and Mr Moses) with a chance to become more familiar with the rules before playing a full game.
AFL training will begin in week 3 (7th May) starting at 8:15. Students will be walked back to school at 9:00.

Please check this blog every week before training. At times we will need to cancel due to weather and absence.

Codes of Conduct will be given out today. Students must sign and return them their coaches.

Good luck to all of our 2010 PSSA teams.
